Court Fulfills NGO’s Lawsuit Partially

On 10 February, in the Baku Appellate Court, under the chairmanship of Judge Aygun Abdullayeva, the appeal of Center for Assistance to Free Economy Head Zohrab Ismayil against the decision adopted by Narimanov District Court on his lawsuit against the Education Ministry was partially fulfilled.
The judge issued a decision to consider the failure of the ministry to answer to the information inquiry addressed to the Education Ministry unfounded and required the Education Ministry to respond to the information inquiry.
Center for Assistance to Free Economy Head Zohrab Ismayil appealed to the Narimanov District Court regarding the failure of the Education Ministry to respond to the information inquiry on the expenditure of means allocated for building of schools, and asked the court “to consider the failure to respond to the inquiry and the inactivity of high-ranking official unfounded.” On 10 March, 2009, the court did not fulfill the lawsuit.
